Our personal project: A Pachas

D.O. Madrid

A pachas: (loc. adv. coloq.) to share something or go halvesies.

A PACHAS in Spanish slang means “to share”, so our brand name wants to carry this colloquial and friendly attitude to the world. Our wine range wants to break barriers and create new ties. That’s why our slightly abstract wine labels show people enjoying time together and having relaxed fun.

Sharing our love for D.O.Madrid wine.

The A PACHAS wines are produced in Vinícola de Arganda, located in the southwest of the region of Madrid, and the grapes from where the wines originate, come from selected vineyard plots in the area of influence of the Tajo River, in the production subzone of Arganda del Rey. This area is located between 4 rivers, the Henares and the Tajuña, which are tributaries of the Jarama, which in turn is a tributary of the great river that crosses the area, the Tajo, which allows a natural and capillary irrigation of the vineyards.

In the vineyard plots located in Arganda del Rey, different types of places are combined where its 150 hectares of vineyards are cultivated, from the vineyards located in the paramo, with more rigorous climatic conditions and very adequate to the cultivation of Tempranillo, an area of slopes near the streams that cross the municipality of Arganda del Rey, with characteristics more typical for the cultivation of the Malvar grape, with moderate acidity and high sugar content and the plain area, characterized by many hours of annual sunshine and where the vine has traditionally been cultivated since Roman times.

The label design

The design of the labels is made by Carlos Estecha, painter and winemaker of international reputation, after more than 32 years of experience in projects such as Paternina, Franco Españolas, and more recently, his own signature wine cellar, La Romántica Compañía de Vinos, in Rioja Alavesa and who has been a key figure in helping us with the section of our wines and the launch of this project with very attractive value for money wines.
